Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Meridian, ID

Total Budget: $4,440

Areas of Focus: Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy, Economic and community development

Activity Type: Health: General

Summary: Looking to purchase on site storage pods for the Boys and Girls club of Meridian to store equipment.

They currently pay $200 a month to store equipment offsite at a storage unit. By having the storage on site, this will keep the equipment on site for easier/quicker access for the kids. There would be less liability for travel and lower their costs of employee time to travel and the wear and tear on vehicles. They would also like to reinvest the $200 into their teen leadership programs.

The Meridian Rotary group will help with leveling the area and with the installation and painting of the shed.

and level area for the building. Any required digging or leveling of the area should be done by the purchaser before our arrival. We

require a minimum of 18 inches around the building on all four sides (3 on sidekick style) to assemble the building. Extra labor required

for building in tight clearance areas or moving items in the way will be billed at the rate of $28 per man hour.

Thank You

Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed)

There were some price changes to the project after the quote, these changes in costs dropped the project price from the quoted $5,045.00 to $4408.54. The changes came from the following; Shed price changed to $3,175.00 from $3,875.00, Painting of the shed price changed to $349.00 from $420.00, roll up door changed to $260.00 from $300.00, changed to wood entry door from steel door changed price to $150.00 from $265.00, removed window with screen so removed $185.00 from price and then added shelving to the shed which added $225.00 to the final bill. With all the changes we carved off $636.46 from the quote for this project. We never received another quote, as these changes came at the time of ordering. So the invoice was the last pricing we received from Stor-Mor Sheds.

Several things about your application: 1)Change the project title to more accurately reflect what it is, e.g. "storage unit for B&G Club"; 2) 50% of the financing for a project of this size must be provided by the club - maximum DDF is $3330 in this case; 3)Tier 3 grant applications must have a detailed spending plan. Provide an accurate estimate of the cost of the storage unit; 4) How will Rotarians be actively involved in this project?

The Rotary Foundation approved our block grant on July 17th. Your project is approved for $2000 of DDF, conditional on your club contribution increasing to $2440 to make up the difference. The reduction is due to your application not being signed till after the June 1 deadline. Do the following to get your grant: 1)cancel the signature process (description tab-administration) 2)in financing tab, adjust your numbers, making sure the project remains "fully pledged"; 3)Send again for signatures and follow the instructions for signing. Changes will be reviewed by the district before final approval and notification of grant award. If you have questions or need help, please contact Jedd Thomas at (208) 339-1185

I have audited this project. I do not approve the Final Report. You stated in your description of the project a quote for $5,045 but your report states $4,400. Please correct the Final Report as needed. You need to submit an Invoice marked paid for the shed and a copy of your check that paid the invoice.

by Chad Larson

Updated project page to explain the changes in the cost of the project from the quote to the final invoice. This saved the club $636.46. Thanks, Chad
