Project Description Country: USA Location: Prescott AZ Total Budget: $4,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Scholarships Summary: Scholarship to be provided to 1 PHS student to be selected by a non identified teacher. Almost always scholarships are given to students with high GPAs and exceptional applications - the superstars. At this years awards ceremony, we gave money to a student that already had about $20,000 in other scholarships. I would like to set up a scholarship for a student to be chosen by an undisclosed teacher. This teacher would be able to evaluate over months or years and to better understand the students. Using an undisclosed teacher could motivate the students to better respect all teachers and to prevent undo influence from being exerted on any one teacher.
