Project Description Country: USA Location: Idaho - D5400 Total Budget: $8,775 Area of Focus: None Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Training of Inbound and Outbound students and parents for Rotary Youth Exchange 3 training sessions of all of the exchange students within District 5400 are held during the Rotary year. The first is in August and is Inbound Orientation for the newly arrived foreign students coming to Idaho. The second is Outbound interviews in November. And the final one is Outbound Training in January. This grant will help cover the lodging, meals, and printing costs associated with these three events. More detailed budget numbers are contained in the attached spreadsheet. The D5400 Youth Exchange team & students met 3 times and this grant enabled these training activities by covering numerous expenses. These will be compiled in the final report. The effects of this training have been threefold. The initial RYE gathering in August was focused on Inbound training/orientation for the foreign teenagers coming to Idaho. The gathering in November was Outbound interviews where we met and chose the Idaho students who will go overseas in August 2018. Outbound training in January was meant to prepare the Idaho students we chose for the challenges that will await them during their exchange year. Thank You!
