Project Description Country: USA Location: Phoenix/Scottsdale AZ Total Budget: $2,000 Area of Focus: None Activity Type: Health: General Summary: Ten starter baskets providing basic household items for homeless families transitioning into apartments in Phoenix. Homeless families do not have any of the basic items needed to start their new lives in traditional housing. Family Promise provides programs to assist families in moving from homelessness to self sufficiency. When the families graduate from the program they are eligible for housing assistance. The funds will be used to purchase sheets, pillows, towels, and other basic household items bundled into baskets for families graduating into housing. $2000 will provide baskets for ten families. Family Promise has an immediate need for these items and we will fund as soon as the Grant is approved. We are scheduling a Club program presentation by their Director to identify opportunities to volunteer and further assist the organization. previously in District 5510.
