Project Description Country: USA Location: Wichita Falls, Texas Total Budget: $5,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Scholarships Summary: Educational Internships for Leadership Training in the Boys and Girls Clubs of Wichtia Falls, Texas The Rotary Club of Wichita Falls was instrumental in the founding of the Boys and Girls Clubs in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1919 and our club's financial support continues to this day. Each year, we award funds for general operation of the Boys and Girls Clubs and we also have sponsored Educational Internships for students at Midwestern State University. These Internships promote leadership training for the selected college students to improve and promote the programs and activities offered by the Boys and Girls Clubs to the youth in our community.
