Project Description Country: USA Location: Decatur, TX Total Budget: $2,250 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Scholarships Summary: Scholarships provided to local seniors to pursue their dream of going to college Needs: Three (3) $1,000 Scholarships for students with aspirations of attending college. Meeting those needs: We will pass out scholarship applications to our local high school and have students fill them out and return them to Rotary Club. We will develop a small committee to review submittals and review students. They will then bring 3 students to group. Timeline: Flyers out in March, committee developed in April, Review submittals and choose students before Graduation 2018. Last year we were able to use $1,500 from our Civic fund and $1,500 from district grant.
