Project Description Country: USA Location: Woodridge, IL Total Budget: $2,634 Area of Focus: Economic and community development Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: Support of youth programs for disadvantaged children in Woodridge, Illinois. The Club will provide support to families and youth in the community. The Club will provide assistance to young people and families to enroll and participate in Park District programs. With this assistance families have the opportunity to participate in recreational programs and activities to build self-worth and the opportunity to learn and compete. These activities contribute to moving families forward. The at-risk and financial status of the applicants is verified by the Park District. Each year the Rotary and Park District collaborate to recognize volunteers in the community through this and other programs.
