Project Description Country: USA Location: Lake Geneva, WI Total Budget: $670 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: Scholarships for Highschool students to attend RYLA Camp at Home Holiday Camp in Lake Geneva, WI This project will help to enhance the leadership skills and self-esteem of high school students in the inner city of Chicago, particularly targeted towards sophomores and juniors in the Southeast communities, with a preference for students from the Interact Club our sponsors at Hyde Park Academy. We plan to cast a wide net and possibly interview a number of students from throughout our network. We may work in partnership with other Club who may wish to sponsor students so that we can maximize the number of students we can send in addition to using out District allocation. At the very minimum, we will be sending 2 students to RYLA, with the assistance of our District allocation funds.
