Project Description Country: Mexico Location: El Florido, Mexico Total Budget: $3,000 Area of Focus: Water and sanitation Activity Type: Water: Supply/Access Summary: Electrical repairs installed to provide water to the orphenage Casa Hogar Sonrisa de Angeles is located in El Florido, one of the poorest neighborhoods located between Tijuana, and Tecate, in Baja California. The orphanage houses approximately 50 children ranging from infants to 19 years of age. It is run by a Catholic Nun by the name of Madre (Mother) Liliana. Running water to the dorm and toilets has been discontinued by the Inspector code violations. The Rotary Club of El Cajon has enlisted the services of a qualified electrician to perform the technical installation. Club members have pledged to participate by supplying labor, tools, and miscellaneous necessities to successfully complete the project. Date of completion is estimated to be August 1, 2018.
