Summary: Six stainless steel animal cages on a movable base provided to our local animal shelter (ARF) in Parker, Arizona, USA.
The Parker Rotary Club has identified our local animal shelter (ARF) as an organization that needs support to expand the number of animals that it can accommodate, while they process adoptions. Last year ARF facilitated over 500 adoptions, which is a critical need in our location, due to harsh summer conditions and temperatures7-8 months of the year. These new cages are durable, withstand frequent cleaning, and maximize space within the facility. Our members have frequent fundraisers and have voted to support ARF, after a presentation to the Club on the mission, needs, and outcomes that ARF is committed to throughout La Paz County. They work together with the Towns of Parker and Quartzsite, as well as serving our unincorporated areas in the County. Our club members have also been involved in supporting the shelter with food and other supplies, including cat litter and medical supplies. We will solicit the support of other community organizations and anticipate completing the project within 3 months of receiving grant funding.
