Project Description Country: USA Location: Oswego, IL Total Budget: $3,500 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Dictionaries provided to third grade students in School District 308, Oswego, IL> We have talked to our third grade teachers and they feel dictionaries are still a prerequisite in their teaching third graders how to spell and write. We will purchase the dictionaries from The Dictionary Project. We also purchase labels with our Club name and the 4 Way Test which we apply to the inside of the book cover. It takes the effort of all of our members to unbox, apply labels and rebox 1400 dictionaries. A few of us then transport the dictionaries to the various elementary schools in the district.
