Project Description Country: USA Location: National City Total Budget: $2,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Officers and community leaders will join forces to deliver boxes of paper, pencils, binders and other supplies to the 10 elementary schools located in National City. Due to state budget cuts, some schools lack basic supplies, so the National City Police Department is happy to help. Students from 10 National City elementary schools will be be greeted with new backpacks filled with basic school supplies from WalMart, Target and other local organizations. National City Rotary will assist with the set-up and distribution in late October and presentation of the check to NCPD in December. The Total project expenditures should be equal to the Total Project Income.
