Project Description Country: USA Location: National City Total Budget: $1,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Maytime Band Review Association is a forum for the promotion of music education and cultural diversity by encouraging the participation of local, national and international marching band programs. The organization aims to bring the community together to celebrate and strengthen cultural pride, stimulate tourism and promote the local economy. The 57 year-long historic tradition makes a modest return in October to National City's HIGHLAND AVE & KIMBALL PARK, and benefits the music education of regional marching bands. Rotarians will participate in the Parade activities including the publicity to local businesses and feature Floats to honor "Hometown Heros".
