Project Description Country: USA Location: San Diego CA Total Budget: $1,000 Area of Focus: Economic and community development Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: Warrior Foundation Freedom Station - Supplies for New Kitchens Founded in 2004, Warrior Foundation-Freedom Station aims to be the leading force in assisting, honoring and supporting the military men and women who have bravely served and sacrificed for our country. They are committed to supporting our warriors with quality-of-life items, support services, and transitional housing designed to assist them and their families during recovery. WFFS has purchased a new facility and is remodeling it to provide housing for 9 veterans, the facility will be ready October or November 2018. They need everything to equip these apartments. I would like to provide a total of $1000 (500 from district grant and 500 from our club) for kitchen equipment, specifically utensils and pots and pans for 4 units. Our club will have a fundraiser , possibly paddle boarding to raise $500.
