Summary: High school student delegates acting as foreign ambassadors/diplomats discuss pressing current international issues.


Rotary District 5340's Model United Nations Program trains high school students to be effective peace makers, negotiators and diplomats by debating current-day international issues. Our 2018 Model UN Conference will be held at the University of San Diego, Joan B. Kroc Institute of Peace and Justice and School of Peace Studies on April 6-7, 2019. We are the only Rotary District in the entire United States that sponsors and holds a Model UN Conference for students/youth, except for Eugene, Oregon who will be implementing a new Rotary Model UN Conference based on our Model UN program.

San Diego Coastal Rotary Club will use this Funds to pay the registration fees of 2 Central American/Mexican teams and the project will be completed in May 2019.
