Summary: To provide funding for part of the cost of an operatiing table for the children's hospital in Mbarara, Uganda
The hospital has been operating since 2009 and more than 38,000 needy children have been treated. Any needing surgery have had to be sent to another hospital. A new surgical center at Children's Hospital is nearing completion. There is a need for a surgical table. The cost is $18, 982. It is expected that surgeries can begin in late 2018. RB Sunrise has already contributed an X-ray machine in the last Rotary year to the facility . Club member, Lee Haney, is the Chief Financial Officer for theUganda project.
'This table will enable medial staff to provide better medical care on site to needy children, 12 years of age and under in a rural, under-served community.
There will be a plaque on the operating table with Rotary cited as the donor.
