Homelessness is a chronic problem in San Diego. There are approximately 8,000 homeless individuals in San Diego County and over 1,000 of those live in East County. A lack of affordable housing, addiction, and mental illness each play a substantial role in causing individuals and families to become homeless.
The East County Transitional Living Center (ECTLC) provides transitional housing, emergency housing, job skills development, opportunities to earn a GED, case management and linkage to other resources which provide a hand up to individuals and families, enabling them to secure permanent housing and become productive members of our community.
We will donate money to ECTLC to purchase the items that are most needed for those they serve, including toiletries and food. Club members will help raise money and donate supplies.
