Summary: Provide Mommy Baskets to low income and needy new mothers with basic baby care supplies and information in partnership with non-profit healthcare agency
Health Services of North Texas is a non-profit agency that cares for 12,000+ lower income and needy people every year. We want to partner with them to provide these new Mothers with needed baby care supplies and information to enable them to get a strong start with their new baby. This is a great opportunity for Rotarians to provide "Service above self" to truly needy families in a positive and nurturing manner. This extra help may well give the new Mothers the psychological and motivational extra help they desperately need as they face additional family expenses and worries around caring for a newborn. In addition to the cash needed to implement this project, Rotarians will reach out to possible businesses and donors to expand the program allowing help for more needy Mothers.
