Project Description Country: USA Location: Chicago Heights, IL Total Budget: $500 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Early Childhood Education grant will provide 100 STEM kits to 1 preschool in Chicago Heights and 1 preschool in Park Forest. This is an Early Childhood Education District Grant. Serving an area that has a majority of students testing well below state averages, we realize it is important to reach the students in our community at an early age. Furthermore, STEM is a fast and growing field for all ages in education. With this grant, we would partner with the Homewood Science Center to provide 100 STEM Kits to one Pre-School in Chicago Heights and one Pre-School in Park Forest. Our club will assemble the kits then distribute to each school. Kits can be done at home.
