Our local vocational college is the fastest growing college in the University of Alaska system and offers a wide variety of degrees and certificates. Some include Fisheries Technology, Marine Biology, Welding tech, certified nurses aide and Medical Imaging, corrections, and firefighter prep.)

There is a need for those who attend for the necessary gear/equipment to enroll in their course. (for example Welding helmets, gloves, tools) in addition to the normal text books.

Kenai Rotary Club wants to help 2 students with these needs who do not, currently, have any other scholarships or the means to acquire these tools/books.

Needs will be identified with the help of a past Rotarian who is the current director, our club will conduct interviews and select the recipients.
