Project Description Country: USA Location: Matteson Total Budget: $1,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Grants to teachers for classroom innovative community focused projects The idea for this project came out of collaborations with local educators expressing the need for special funding for creative and innovative projects. This grant will be used for teachers to apply for funding for classroom projects that will enhance the learning experience for students as well as promote community involvement in solving problems. Several classroom grants will be offered to students in grades 6-12. The application process will start in September and end in December. Club members will review applications and visit classrooms to observe the progress and final projects.
