Project Description Country: USA Location: Buckeye Az Total Budget: $3,750 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: WEEKLY READER SUPPLEMENTS ADDRESSING MATH, SCIENCE, HISTORY AND READING FOR K-8 AT BUCKEYE ELEMENTARY DOWNTOWN CAMPUS WEEKLY READERS USE AN INTERACTIVE APPROACH WITH THE TEACHER AND STUDENTS. THE WEEKLY READERS ADRESS WORLD EVENTS. READING, HISTORY AND BASIC SCIENCE. THE SUPPLEMENTS HAVE AN IN DEPTH STUDY OF MATH , SCIENCE , HISTORY AND READING. SUPPLEMENTLES ARE CREATATED FOR INDIVIDUALS GRADE LEVELS AND ENHANCE THE EVERYDAY TEACHING AND LEARNING IN THE CLASSROOM. BOTH THE TEACHERS AND STUDENTS ENJOY THIS INTERACTIVE APPROACH. ALL STUDENTS HAVE NOTEBOOKS WHERE THEY SAVE THEIR LESSONS AND ARE ABLE TO SHARE THEM WITH SIBLINGS AND PARENTS. THE PROGRAM STARTYS IN AUGUST AND ENDS IN MAY. THE ROTARY WILL VISIT THE CLASSROOMS FOR A FIRST HAND LOOK.
