Summary: We will provide backpacks and school supplies to local schools to be distributed to underprivleged students.


We will identify the current needs of underprivileged children for school supplies and purchase items for the schools to distribute as needed. Two years ago we supplied the school classroom list. for two burley area elementary schools. Last year the schools needed a smaller assortment of supplies so we bought mostly backpacks, headphones and dry erase markers. Project was denied by district. The submission is withdrawn.

We will not be able to consider your grant application for 2021-22. The deadline for Rotary Foundation grant applications to District 5400 was June 1st. Some years, depending on money available to us, we are able to provide some funding for late applications, but in this case the application was fully signed and turned in after we had applied for the block grant from TRF on July 1st. Put it in your calendar to start the application process in May of 2022 for next year. We don't want Burley Rotary Club to miss out.

The district had some money from the 2021-22 TRF block grant returned to us. The committee has met and wants to use some of the money to fund your project. I am going to send it out to you again for signatures. You will be able to claim expenses back to July 23rd. If this works, please react when the application is sent to you again for signatures.
