Project Description Country: USA Location: Southlake Total Budget: $3,600 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Distribute dictionaries to local 3rd grade students This project distributes dictionaries to local 3rd grade students, with the goal of increasing literacy and promoting Rotary in the community and to the local youth. The project will be completed in the 2021-22 school year, and this year, we will distribute to 3rd and 4th graders, since last year we were not able to enter schools due to Covid-19 protocols. The project funds will be used to cover the cost of the dictionaries and the stickers we place on the inside covers of the books, which outline the Rotary 4 way test.
