Our club plans to support local organizations Interior Alaska Center for Nonviolent Living (an emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault) and The Door (shelter and support for homeless youth) by purchasing, assembling and delivering hygiene kits for their clients. Rotarians will assemble kits by placing items such as soap, shampoo and conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, small packs of tissues, nail clippers, combs and brushes, and shaving cream in ziploc bags. We anticipate purchasing items once the grant funds are received and will distribute them in late summer or early fall.
