Project Description Country: USA Location: Twin Falls Total Budget: $1,640 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Provide Rotary dictionaries to 3rd graders in select Twin Falls County elementary schools. The club will purchase dictionaries for 3rd graders. Our club distributes to 5 schools; Kimberly, Filer, Hansen, Murtaugh, and Three Creek. 384 students. The request will cover the cost of the dictionaries $4, labels $0.71 and bookmarks $0.26. The labels are Rotary Wheel stickers and bookplates explaining what Rotary is and the 4-Way test. Club members assemble the labels to the dictionaries. Several members are each assigned to a school to physically participate in the distribution inside the classrooms. A small presentation is made to the children about Rotary, the Four-Way test, and they point out some highlights of the dictionary. The project is expected to be complete by Fall of 2025.
