The Ansley Area Rotary Club has voted to support a playground safety upgrade project with our 2025-2026 Rotary District Grant funds distribution. The area under and around the playground slide at Square Pegs Park is deficient in adequate protective surfacing materials. We have received a quote of $1,300.00 for rubber mulch and $448.00 for border for a total project cost of $1,748.00. The Ansley Area Rotary Club will use our $600.00 District Grant funds and match that dollar amount with $600.00 from our regular club account for a total of $1,200.00 towards project costs. The Ansley Community Improvement Group, another non-profit club, has committed to pay the remaining $548.00 to complete the project. The collaboration between the groups will provide the funds to not only satisfy safety standards for park playground equipment, but will improve protective conditions for the children enjoying Square Pegs Park.
