Project Description Country: USA Location: Abilene Total Budget: $1,800 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Activity Type: Food/Agriculture: General Summary: Funding packs of food for children with food insecurities Care Packs for Kids is local Program in Abilene, TX that assembles and delivers weekly food packs to children with food insecurity through local schools. Volunteers meet to assemble the packs, churches then deliver the packs to school, at which point school counselors will discreetly give the packs to children who need them. Our club has been volunteering at pack nights and supporting financially for the last 5 years.
