Summary: One book one school is a new literacy program in Craig elementary schools
Craig Rotary currently funds and helps with a discover reading literacy project. We will be continuing this project where for every 10 books read and an AR test taken the student gets to attend a monthly party. At the end of the year there is a party given with awards for every student that reads 50 books in a year. In addition to this program we are helping start a new literacy program called One Book One District. This program buys the same book for every student in al 4 elementaries. They will read it with their families or in school with a partner student. Then they have incentives and prizes each month tied in with the theme of the book. This helps encourage all kids in the school to read.
Approved
This project is "Approved". This means that the district leadership has reviewed and approved the allocation of district funds for this project. Once the funds from the district have been issued, the status of the project will be changed to "Paid".
