Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Sidney, Nebraska

Total Budget: $246

Area of Focus: The environment

Activity Type: Community Development: Volunteer Services

Summary: Supplies provided for community cleanup events in Sidney, Nebraska.

Sidney, Nebraska has significant truck traffic and tourist traffic, which leads to a buildup of trash near the interstate. Keep Sidney Beautiful holds regular trash cleanup events to help deal with this problem. The Cheyenne County Rotary Club has assisted as volunteers with these events in the past, but this year would also like to contribute financially because the organization has lost some of their state funding. We intend to use grant funds to purchase trash bags, gloves, and bottled water for cleanup events, and we intend to provide volunteer support again this year as well.
