Project Description Country: USA Location: Dallas/Fort Worth Texas Total Budget: $1,919 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Provide scholarship funding to send two students to RYLA Camp (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) Summer 2027 Send two students to Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Camp. The students will attend spring/summer 2027 which is usually held at Camp Hobitzelle in Midlothian, Texas. The students are the beneficiaries as they learn lifelong leadership skills. The North Texas Pioneers Club will fund $1,990.00 and is requesting $750.00 in a matching District Grant. The students are recommended by High school counselors and teachers, interviewed by Rotarians, and two finalists selected. Camp RYLA is announced and promoted by Plano Senior High Schools through their internal TV systems, bulletin boards, and in classes and clubs.
