With the creation of the Larry McMurtry Literary Center in September of 2024 we continue to fulfill Larry McMurtry's vision of creating a lasting and sustainable literary hub in the place of his birth. We now offer vibrant residency workshops for writers of all levels and genres, including fiction, book proposals, creative nonfiction, and narrative nonfiction and now include author readings and other special educational programs at the Larry McMurtry Literary Center. Over the past year and half more than sixty writers have participated in these workshops, most for the first time.
This will be in Archer City, TX at the "Booked Up" Library.
