Project Description Country: USA Location: Mansfield, Texas Total Budget: $1,876 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Supporting Mansfield ISD HS Students with Special Needs by Creating Inclusive and Safe Celebration at the Friendship Ball. Timeline: April 24, 2027 Completion Club members will serve as volunteers throughout the Event. We anticipate: 1. Increase awareness of the needs, strengths, and abilities of students with special needs across all Mansfield ISD HS. 2. Promote inclusion and belonging by reducing barriers and creating opportunities for meaningful participation. 3. Create safer, more welcoming celebrations that address sensory, communication, and accessibility needs. 4. Support families by providing an inclusive environment where they can participate comfortably and confidently. 5. Strengthen community partnerships among Mansfield ISD, families, community organizations, and local supporters: MISD, Methodist Mansfield Medical Center and Frost Bank. The impact will extend beyond one event. Collaboration, education, promoting lasting awareness, and more inclusive community celebrations for students and their families.
