Project Description

Region: Asia

Country: India

Location: Thanjavur

Total Budget: $45,000

Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy

This project aims at providing E Learning Module and Class Room Steel Benches and Desks for students studying at poor schools(10 schools) selected by our club in District 2981, South Tamil Nadu state, India. The schools in Rural India rely mostly on Text Books for their studies and they do not have access to latest teaching aids such as Touch Screen Smart Boards with Internet connections or a simple E Learning Module. This Project aims at providing a cheap but effective E- Learning module, the details of it attached separately. Still in most of the rural Junior and High Schools the students sit on the floor to read and write. This project also aims at providing Benches to E-Learning Class Room and it will certainly improve the comfort and concentration of the students in their studies. This project has plans to educate the Teachers to use the E Learning module and periodically update their knowledge by conducting Training classes.

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions.
