Area of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention
Too many young people are hurting themselves and even committing suicide. A new mobile app has been developed to provide an early alarm system where educators, caregivers, family members, friends and other people who know a person at risk can send an alarm which will trigger an intervention to assist the needy person. It has been shown that young people "telegraph" their intention to harm or kill themselves to people who know them. This grant will provide for education training to 1000 people in Riverside County, California so that they can distribute the mobile app and show people how to use it.

Project Status
Dropped
This project has been "Dropped". Check the history log entries to see why it was dropped.
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
