Project Description

Region: South America

Country: Brazil

Location: Joinville

Total Budget: $75,000

Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment

This project intends to equip with a disinfector Hydralic the corporation of the voluntary fire brigade of Joinville. The foundation of the Joinville Volunteer Fire Brigade took place on July 13, 1892, being a pioneer institution in terms of Brazil and a legitimate result of the entrepreneurial and solidarity culture of immigrants. The voluntary fire company of Joinville has performed in the last five years more than 25 thousand calls, an average of more than 5,2 thousand / year. The discharger allows the removal of victims trapped in car, aircraft or any other environment that, due to its structure, needs to be cut by specific equipment whose cutting force is generally promoted by the hydraulic action, that is, by a set Hydraulic pump motor, which is usually accommodated in a vehicle or vehicle of the Fire Departament or rescue teams.

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
