BUDEI BUDUDA Project is aimed at transforming the welfare of the target population in Bududa in general but with special focus on children with physical disability in particular. It is an integrated project encompassing interventions in all four focus areas of 1) Economic empowerment and food security; b) Education; c) Health; d) Infrastructure, water & sanitation. BUDEI Education Centre, a community based self help initiative, will be the fulcrum the project.
The project aims at establishing a fully-fledged model community school for children with physical disability. The school will provide boarding facilities for the disabled pupils; Further, the project will provide improve access to clean water by the community in addition to community sensitization on health, nutrition, education; supporting health services' provision through undertaking medical camps in the area and economic empowerment through operationalization of a micro-finance seed component.
