The Impact One Initiative Project will address the educational needs of elementary school children in 10 community schools in the city of Lusaka, Zambia. The project will provide tablet computers to students, computers and tablets to teachers, and other technology tools to upgrade their educational experience. Approval of the $46,600 global grant is pending approval of MOU's with each of the schools. Tablets and computers will be loaded with iSchool Africa lessons and content to upgrade the teaching materials. The grant includes training for teachers and administrators in the technology as well as classroom management. Approval is expected by the end of the year.
