A need for access to clean drinking water has been identified in these areas by the communities themselves. the project is going to work on installation of Boreholes for pumping water to the surface in each of the villages that are selected to get the water hole.
The villages apply for the borehole, and the grant's cooperating organization and host Rotary follow the process of geological surveys, village sensitization etc to determine the eligibility of the villages and then work on installing the boreholes.Following the intallation the village committees go through the training process, and maintenance criteria to ensure sustainability of the boreholes to meet the needs of clean drinking water. To be submitted to RI by end of November, and project start in January and completed by about the end of March 2018.
Intl club will be involved with working on the grant, and monitoring progress and then filing the reports to RI, Host rotarians will work with cooperating organization on the ground to ensure proper installation, training and follow up visits etc.
