Project Description Region: South-East Asia Country: Nepal Location: Sindhuli Total Budget: $46,759 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy View Online Proposal Form During the need assessment by Rotary Club of Dhulikhel at 5 different schools ( Janajyoti Secondary School,Bhimsen Basic School,Shree Dirgha Pradip Higher Secondary School,Bhimjoti Campus,Shree Panchakanaya School) of Sindhuli district it was found that community schools lack proper learning infrastructure for quality education like computer lab, Science lab,library, desk & benches, stationary etc.Student dropout is rising due to lack of proper education as many of them complain about not having sufficient learning equipment Nepal Government hardly provide mentioned equipment as Nepal Government more focus on rebuilding the damaged schools.Those schools who are reconstructed are not also able to run class due to lack of sufficient furnitures,computers etc Computer lab, Science lab,library, desk & benches, stationary etc help to enhance the quality education in assessed community schools .Student without any technical knowledge especially on computer have to devoid from job opportunity as well. The timeline for this project will be 12 months . The funds of this project will be used for following things: 70 desks & benches 75 Computers 75 Computer chairs 75 Computer tables 4 projectors 4 Laptops 4 3in1 Printers 1 Science Labs 1 Library Training on ICT Transportation of Goods Rotary club member will be involved in implementing,monitoring,evaluating and reporting the project.
