We Rotary District 3231 along with Rotary club of Tiruvannamalai vegan has decided to do a project to provide TB awareness and screening mobile unit to rural areas of our district. In India, each year, approx. 220,000 deaths are reported due to Tuberculosis. Between 2006 and 2014, the disease cost Indian economy USD 340 billion. The main objective of our project is to provide mobile TB awareness and screening bus and technicians to give them proper screening to the peoples living in rural areas. The mobile van is equipped with TB screening equipment's with technicians and awareness materials. The Screened peoples will be given full counselling about the causes and treatment.
The death rate is seemingly high due to lack of awareness in the rural parts of Southern India. The main objective of our project is to provide mobile TB Screening and awareness bus and technicians to give them proper screening to the people living in rural areas.
The beneficiaries of the project:
Peoples, who live in the rural areas (villages, towns, districts and neighbourhoods away from the city centre) and economically challenged. They were given a complete counselling about their current health status and the test results will be evaluated by experts and delivered related departments.
