Project Description Region: Asia Country: India Location: Vellore Total Budget: $75,000 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment We Rotary district 3231 compiles four revenue district and has a population of over 2 million. Blood donation is one of the most significant contribution that a person can make towards the society. There are still some challenges for the people who are living in the rural areas and the primary health centre's nearby needs blood in critical situations, hence we Rotary District 3231 and Rotary club of Vellore Accord has decided to provide a mobile blood bank and screening to the rural areas of our district But the death rate is seemingly high due to lack of awareness in the rural parts of Southern India. The main objective of our project is to provide mobile mammography bus and technicians to give them proper screening to the peoples living in rural areas. The mobile van is equipped with everything necessary for blood donation procedures like collection equipment, donor beds Screening and storage. It is expected to significantly increase the outreach of blood collection efforts. The beneficiaries of the project: We have planned to supply our donated blood to the required PHC and the peoples who live in the rural areas (villages, towns, districts, and neighborhoods away from the city center) and economically challenged were benefitted.
