Benefited entity: CTR
Attended public: young and adult male users of alcohol and other drugs.
The entity has a farm of 9.31 hectares, for the care of adults, and an urban center that serves teenagers. Both places act in the treatment of Chemical Dependency through hospitalization for a period of nine months, whose basic principle is the abstinence and the change of individual behaviors with fundamental therapies in Spirituality, Work and Discipline.
The work team consists of: Social worker, psychologists, social educator, music instructor, yoga instructor, teachers, general coordinator, administrative coordinator and volunteers.
Objectives: Invest in the cultivation of organic fruits and vegetables, by expanding the garden and orchard in the CTR, so that it can produce more variety in the entity's rural headquarters, improving the quality of the food of the inmates, so that it can contribute to a better detoxification. Increase water catchment for the maintenance of the garden and to ensure the self-sustainability of the food, making it possible to save financial resources and to profit through the commercialization of part of the production with the community in general. This project is justified by the financial economy, the production of quality food and by the methodology of treatment of the program, in which the inmates produce their food and prepare them for consumption, since the objective is that they feel productive and have the opportunity to develop their skills.
