Project Description Region: South America Country: Brazil Location: Rolim de Moura - RO Total Budget: $42,534 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy The purpose of this project is to purchase equipment and furniture for classrooms, offices, kitchen, changing rooms, bathrooms, such as: chairs, tables, cabinets, archives, shelves, benches, freezer, refrigerator, stove , water cooler, air conditioning; for a nursery school in the municipality of Rolim de Moura, Rondônia, Brazil. The justification is based on the lack of financial resources of the municipality of Rolim de Moura to buy these goods. In this case, the school, which is built by the Federal and State Governments, with capacity to attend up to 360 (three hundred and sixty) children will not come into operation. In fact, the population of the low-income neighborhoods Jatobá I and II will not be able to enjoy the benefits, which jeopardizes the educational development of the children. The feasibility of implementation and sustainability of the project is made possible by the partnership with the Municipal Management that will assume responsibility for the custody, installation and maintenance of the equipment.
