PROJECT PANORAMA - Focus area: Maternal and Child Health.
The objective of the Project is the implantation of two (2) beds of Pediatric ICU, dedicated exclusively to the Renal and Liver Transplantation Program of HGF - Hospital Geral de Fortaleza, Unit of the public network, reference in Ceará, of Brazil. In the last 5 years, the Program has performed 937 transplants in adults, adolescents and children over 5 years, failing to meet an approximate demand of 220 children / year, under 5 years of age, in the North and Nortdeste, due to lack of adequate ICU age. The lack of this ICU forces these patients to move to the south and southeast of the country. This matters at a high cost and the release is time consuming as a result, many issues occur. These equipments have a total value of U $ 30,000. They will be donated to the IPDT - Institute of Research and Development of Transplantation Programs, social institution, nonprofit, CNPJ 07.710.562 / 0001-78 and later assigned to HGF, through a loan agreement. The HGF will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and operation of the equipment, as it has a multidisciplinary team of professionals. The benefit will be the life of these patients, who currently go to death, due to the lack of these ICUs, which we intend to finance.
