Project Description Region: South America Country: Brazil Location: Andira Total Budget: $33,750 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment Sociedade Hospitalar Beneficente de Andirá (SBHA) is composed of 50 physicians and other staff members work at the hospital. The first phase of the project aims 32.832 people with special needs who reside in the 21 cities in the area. The second phase aims other cities which will total 77.997 people who will benefit from this clinic. The goal of this Project is to equip a(n) Unidade Referenciada de Atenção Odontológica (UR) which is a dental clinic for people with special needs (mainly), inside the surgery center of the SBHA. These patients need to take general anesthesia to undergo dental treatment. This clinic will also be used by the population in general in case there is any availability.
