ACQUISITION OF HOSPITAL EQUIPMENT

- Equip the intensive care unit (ICU) of Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Igarapava. Acquisition of 2 Skyled ceilings (120 + 120) and 3 BMS - Bionet multiparametric vital signs monitors for the intensive care unit (ICU) beds to support life and procedures of medium and high complexity of the local community.

Needs Assessment - Absence of vital equipment for the maintenance and life support of patients submitted to emergency, urgency and surgical procedures of medium and high complexity.

Brief Description of the Project The "Santa Casa" de Misericórdia de Igarapava, founded in 1916, classified as General Hospital with branch of Philanthropic nature and activity of providing health care services, provides outpatient emergency and emergency care of Medium Complexity, currently counting with 60 active beds , already having been a reference for an estimated population of 60,000 inhabitants, and currently awaiting the accreditation of a unit of 10 beds available to 12 municipalities, being a Hospital Service of Reference in mental health and chemical dependents.

The hospital, which is already a hundred years old, has in its physical structure, Surgical Center, Intermediate Unit, Maternity, Nursery, Inpatient Units and Emergency Care, working today with two Doctors on duty in the daytime and a doctor on call at night. It conducts on average 6000 consultations / month, 10,000 laboratory exams, 800 Radiological exams, 100 Internships, besides surgical procedures, being today, 82% to the users of the Unified Health System - SUS.

With the current financial crisis, however, the Santa Casa de Igarapava can not renew the existing hospital equipment that has deteriorated, nor even acquire new equipment, thereby seeking to modernize the hospital and guarantee the quality of its services and especially the safety and benefits to patients.

The scarce public health resources are not sufficient for the reform of the physical structure, keeping as much as possible the employees, materials and medicines. The Hospital has in its characteristic, the assistance of Medium Complexity, being the cases of High Complexity regulated by the CROSS System (Central of Regulation), needing beds of ICU, among other specialties, transferred to Hospitals of reference, which often, there is the delay to release the vacancy due to the demand, besides the difficulty of locomotion of the relatives. Avoiding these facts, the entity seeks the accreditation of an INTENSIVE THERAPY UNIT (ICU), for this it seeks the partnership of Institutions that can collaborate for the installation of this service that will benefit the entire population of Igarapava and the region.

The purpose of this project is the acquisition of equipment to compose the ICU (intensive care unit) and follows the description of the equipment: 2 Skyled 120 + 120 ceiling and 3 BM5-Bionet multiparametric virtual signal monitors.
