EVALUATION OF NEEDS AND SUSTAINABILITY

For the evaluation of the needs of this project, more than 40 parents of students currently enrolled in the Paul Harris School were interviewed, 60% parents with children in school and 40% parents with children in the school and children already graduates, the result of these interview talks, the following was obtained:

• The parents expressed the concern that their children have a trade when leaving school, since those who do not have a job quickly migrate to large cities, and the affliction that their children fall into temptations of drugs, alcoholism, gangs or some slave labor as it is in the case of those who emigrate to the City of Buenos Aires (Argentina); The reality manifested by the parents is that the majority of young people cannot get out of poverty and in many cases ventures into dangerous activities.

• Currently there are 60 students in the secondary level of the Paul Harris Educational Center in Palala, belonging to the 1st to 4th year of high school, however for the following years an important growth is foreseen for these workshops, for the creation of the courses of 5th and 6th high school housing a student population of 130 students minimally.

• The workshops for selected professions to be developed and strengthened are established through an analysis and diagnosis, which gives results of imperative need and implementation in the community.

• The consolidation of existing workshops and the implementation of new workshops directly addresses and rectifies the main need, which is the lack of technical training for young people and eliminating the need for migration.

• Training courses will be held for new teachers to learn the proposed professions, which will be taught to young people in the new workshops, these trained teachers will be perfectly trained to continue this program year after year.

• Students will be trained in new skills to learn and will be monitored to assess their progress of new skills learned,

• Parents will be informed by memorandum of the advancement of knowledge and skills learned by their children in the workshops and in case the student does not collaborate, they will be notified and summoned to analyze the case, support their problems, achieve a commitment with the parents and get the student motivated by learning these new skills.

• Two talks will be held with the parents, one at the beginning of the school year and another at 70% of the school year to talk and raise awareness of the importance of these new skills that your child learns for the benefit of the Family and society.

It is viable, since it implies the commitment and joint participation of teachers, parents under the supervision and coordination of the Tupiza Rotary Club.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

With the commitment of teachers and parents willing to collaborate with the Project, the eagerness of the students to be trained in technical areas and the ability of coordination between teachers and parents for extracurricular activities, generates a joint work program in the Address of the Paul Harris School Core of Palala and the Tupiza Rotary Club as the generator and controller of the resources.

The project activities consist of the following:

1.- Consolidation of Textile Workshop and Music Workshop with which Paul Harris School currently counts. The consolidation consists of providing more modern equipment, improving infrastructure and training for teachers and students.

2.- Implementation of new Workshops related to Agricultural and Mechanical Metal. The implementation consists of the Construction of Infrastructure, equipping and training teachers and students.

3.- Production and commercialization of articles produced in the workshops, which would generate income that would enable self-sustainability in the long term in terms of future spare parts and develop a fund to incorporate new equipment or replace existing equipment. more modern

These activities will result in the training of professors and students in technical areas, which will contribute to their integral and sustainable development.
