This Global Project aims to purchase one special passenger car called "VAN" to transport people with mental deficiency in order they have a suitable health treatment, including dental and medical emergencies. In addition this car will help them in social inclusion and socialization programs like trips to museums, parks, shopping malls, etc.

The "Associação dos Excepcionais São Domingos Sávio" (AESDS), located at 295, Jose Teodoro Viera Street - Parque Maria Domitila, Sao Paulo, Brazil, is a philanthropic organization that provide assistance directly to more than 60 patients with soft to moderate mental deficiency - both gender - with 100% gratuity full time in regime semi-open, since they complete 14 years old.

The AESDS aims to include the users to live in society and improve their family interaction. We follow these goals by developing the maximum of each individual potentiality with activities that make them feel physically better and raising their self-esteem. And this commitment is sustained by an interdisciplinary team that supports all technical needs.

Besides to serve more than 60 people with soft to moderate deficiency, in another location the AESDS provides recreation services to more than 200 senior people like senior dance, music coral, relaxation, physical education, cultural programs, among others.

We can be proud of our response so far to this challenge, furthermore our regular needs, a passenger car valled "VAN" acquisition turned crucial currently, because it will make possible to independent transport users for health treatment, including dental and medical emergencies, to realize trips to social inclusion and socialization, like shopping malls, coffee shops, parks, etc. and consequently deliver security, quality, privacy and more important them all: a transport suitable adapted for their specific needs and cares.

The AESDS is a social organization of public utility, established on September 28, 1983 by a group of families who had entered in your household a carrier deficiency. For this reason in common this group met periodically in order to find alternatives that could ease their doubts about the handicapped.

The families of the people with mental deficiency and the senior people served actually by AESDS, in general, have no financial resources to pay for these services. Health and social government agencies do not provide any kind of these services to them.
