To provide facilities for a Multi Media Computer Lab for Rural Schools 2. To facilitate learning of Science and Technology through High Definition professional Projection 3. To cater to the needs of Rural Schools to make teaching effective for students at the high school and higher secondary level Brief Project Summary : This project aims to establish Multi Media Computer Lab with High Definition Projection System with Audio facilities for Rural Schools in Pudukkottai Districts of RI District 3000. This would be a model project for the entire revenue district for the rural schools which will be greatly beneficial to the rural students to equip themselves at par with the city based students. The project will also enable the institutions to upscale their teaching methodology in tune with the modern times Project Beneficiaries 8 Rural Schools with a direct benefit to around 15,000 students Area of Focus Basic Education and Literacy Project Sustainability : The Project will be taken care off after the launch by the local Rotary Club and the School Authorities. The Lab will be on an Annual Maintenance Contract for a period of 3 years from the date of launch after which it will be continued by the School Authorities. Expected Project Impact The Self Esteem of the Rural Students will be considerably enhanced through this project which will provide them with the latest computer facilities and Multi Media based study Project Local Host Club Rotary Club of Pudukkottai Role of Rotarians The Local Rotarians will take care of sourcing the vendors and select the products through competitive pricing. The Rotarians will also locate the school and work for the establishment of the project.
